Excavations revealing more pavement, both in a red and gray checkered style and depicting dolphins, were carried out in the 1850s. Alongside pavement, the remains of a pillar, several late Imperial coins, and a large volume of painted plaster were discovered. Based on these and adjacent excavations, archaeologists have identified the area as the site of a winged corridor villa from the Roman period.
