 Ragogna
Chiesa di San Lorenzo di Villuzza
- Historical note about the site/monument
- The church of San Lorenzo as it stands today is the product of rebuilding following an earthquake in 1976. It is a modest rectangular structure with a gabled façade and a bell tower. It is notable for its 11th century fresco cycle depicting the flight of the Holy Family to Egypt. They were extracted from the ruins of the original church using the stacco a massello technique, which involves removal of both the fresco itself and the supporting masonry.
