- This sample is composed of two matching fragments. Each fragment was found in the same box but in a different drawer, and next to each fragment there were two different handwritten notes: “China centrale Gael-foto” (DSC_7673) and “79 Australia”, together with IC labels AUL/A/1 and AUT/A/1 (DSC_8655). The identification of China as the country of sampling is confirmed by an ICCROM archival photograph showing one of the fragments (IG_20190905_143756). This photograph is identified as China, Sample D-1/4, Foto 13–17. In addition to the general view of the fragment, five photographs document details of four cross-sections taken from this fragment (IMG_20190905_143756; IMG_20190905_143913; IMG_20190905_143941).
